Role and Responsibilities

GSC was established to manage operations related to the maritime shipping of goods, minerals, and oil products. The carrier will also manage chartering, acquisition and operation of ships.

The Corporate Head Office is in Conakry, capital of Guinea.

Operational, Financial and Administrative HQ

The operational, financial & administrative Head Office is based in Hong Kong and was incorporated in 2009.

Henrik Christensen

Chairman and Founder of the Guinea Shipping Corporation

Christensen has more than 40-years’ experience in the shipping and transport industry in Africa, Europe and Asia and has an MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Copenhagen Business School.
Mr. Christensen has established a dozen transport networks all of which are operational today. He also specializes in Mergers and Acquisitions and maintains close contact with the global investing community having listed two Hong Kong-based companies in USA.

As CEO of Corporate Capital Consultants, Mr. Christensen is active in a variety of ongoing projects in Africa, including:
• Building of Oil Refineries in Nigeria and Ghana.
• Crude Oil trading & shipping in Nigeria and Ghana.
• Infrastructure developments in Nigeria and Ghana.
• Port & Terminal developments in Nigeria and Ghana.

Patrick Chan, born in Singapore 29th Oct 1957.
Diploma in Marketing and been in the Logistics & Freight industry for well over 30 years.
In the early eighties through the nineties work in Sales and Mgt positions with Burlington, AEI, Federal Express and S-Net International Pte Ltd in Singapore.
Left the industry for five years in early nineties and joined Nortec Geosystems Pte Ltd in Singapore as General Manager.
Serve as Director for South China for 7 years based in Xiamen for OHL International since late 2004.
Relocated to Malaysia based in Kuala Lumpur with HX Shipping Corporation Sdn Bhd in 2012 as the JV Board Representative.
Joined Halcon Primo Logistics Pte Ltd as Country Manager for Malaysia in late 2015.

Irene Rosberg

Irene Rosberg is widely recognised as commanding enormous respect throughout the maritime and logistics sectors internationally for her work in executive education, research in identifying future challenges for industry, and building global relationships. She has high-level contacts in many of the leading organisations in her field, including excellent professional relationships in Europe, in Asia including China, and in Latin America.
Currently, she is Director of the Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics (The Blue MBA) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Europe’s leading institution of its kind. From the beginning, she has been responsible for the design, development and co-ordination of The Blue MBA. On behalf of CBS, she has a fundamental role in building global relationships and networks within the maritime industry. She also promotes research identifying challenges and future issues for the maritime industry as a whole. She is a member of many international boards and committees. Based on her extensive international network and experience, she has been entrusted with major roles in varied maritime-related activities, and speaks at leading maritime events.
She is responsible for the design and delivery of all the Executive Short Development Courses for the shipping industry, delivered by the CBS Executive.

As a Master Mariner and with 14 years at sea, Capt. Pappu Sastry has operational experience of various type of vessels.

He has since been Managing Director and CEO for Shipping & Logistics companies in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and several branch offices around the world, for last 15 years.

In 2015, Capt. Sastry was named as one of the “Top 50 Leaders for Shipping in Next Generation” by Lloyd’s List magazine.

Capt. Sastry has developed innovative project management businesses and has initiated and executed ventures with a number of investors and ship owners.

Matthias Reinarz

Matthias Reinarz

Matthias has 35 years of working experience and has held different management positions in Chile and Uruguay within the Ultramar and Ultranav Group of companies. His management positions include Director Agency Business in Uruguay, CCO of the Ultramar Agency in Chile, Regional Director of the Ultramar Network of Latin American agencies, CEO of Evergreen Chile and CEO and COO at the Ultratug harbour towage operation in Chile. In 2018 he was elected as a member of the Executive Committe of the International Salvage Union (ISU) in London.

Matthias acquired an Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics at the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, and a post-graduate degree in business administration at the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez, Santiago, Chile. He is a Chilean citizen, fluent in German, English and Spanish and resides in Santiago, Chile.

Bo jointly founded Martin Bencher Scandinavia in 1997 with the idea of providing project freight forwarding and logistics between China and overseas. From the start where only himself, his partner and a trainee were in the office, the company has grown to 130 staffs, and annual turnover of around 80 million euros and it has been profitable since the first year of business. The company has offices in North/South America, Europe, China and in South East Asia and has a strong reputation in the market for moving project cargo around the world. Martin Bencher Scandinavia is today recognized as one of the market leaders in moving project freight around the world and it is consistently ranked among the top contenders for major projects in particular in the field of paper/pulp and port handling equipment, all this has been achieved by the owners in less than 15 years from very humble beginnings.

He is currently chairman of CLC PROJECTS NETWORK , CROSS OCEAN NETWORK and
Editor of PROJECTCARGO-WEEKLY

Mike Harrison

Mike Harrison

Mike has a wealth of Global experience in Commercial & Operational Shipping environments with a strong focus on strategy, planning, sales, branding and marketing.
A degree in International shipping and time spent in the Royal Navy contribute to his skill and ability. He has been in the Shipping Industry since 1989, and has been employed in senior positions around the World by major liner and break-bulk ship owners, including United States Lines inc, Hapag-lloyd AG, CMA-CGM, CP Ships, Beluga Shipping Gmbh, Ahlers (Belgium); GCLGlobal Marine(Cy).

He has worked & lived throughout Asia, Middle East, East & West Africa, Mediterranean, North and Central America, North and Central Europe.

Mike has also run and operated Freight Forwarding & NVOCC companies in UK, Middle East and is well versed in Air, Ocean and Land Logistics

He is currently an independent consultant developing business opportunities across the Middle East, West and East Africa, utilizing developed network for trading of bulk and break bulk commodities as well as where necessary secure logistics to ensure security of the cargo.

Roy Franche

Roy Franche

Roy is a Marine and Offshore Consultant with 45+ years of broad International experience and education in the petrol maritime industry.

He has broad experience in the Shipping and offshore industry. He started his career at sea in AS Thor Dahl, Sandefjord as a cadet and got all the grades on various type of vessels until he got his Master Mariner ticket in 1983. He continued his career to monitor the stability on a semi subsea platform in the North Sea before he went ashore to work as Port Captain in Singapore, covering South East Asia and later in New York, covering Great Lakes, Gulf of Mexico and US East Coast.
In 2009 started as assistant professor at the University of Tromsø teaching on the Bachelor of Nautical Engineering degree. IMO majors for 2- and 3-year students.
In 2011 started as senior consultant in the petrol maritime industry based on all his experience within technical, economic and operational where HESQ has been an integral part in all. Typical jobs as Tow master FPSO, Marine Warranty, Quantity and quality surveyor, SURF Supervisor, Marine Equipment Supervisor, Client Marine Representative and Tug Coordinator.

He is self-driven, commercially minded and enthusiastic about new challenges.

Russ Green is the founder and Managing Director of RTG Communications based in Hong Kong. He started his maritime career at Cammell Laird shipyard on Merseyside, UK as an electrical engineer. He then moved into journalism, with a degree in Media from the University of Westminster. After working for news media organisations in the UK and Hong Kong, he joined Cargonews Asia and became Editor and Publisher. He then became SVP Corporate Communications for LINE a Hutchison Ports subsidiary, before establishing Asia’s first PR and marketing communications agency for the shipping and logistics sector. Today, RTG Communications’ clients include some of the world’s leading logistics, ports and shipping companies.
